The 2009 Democrats Abroad Americas Region Annual Meeting

Overview:
La Antigua Guatemala was home for the 2009 Democrats Abroad Americas Region annual meeting over October 23 and 24. The gathering came and went very quickly, but all who attended deemed the meeting a success and the chance to visit Antigua an enchanting plus to the experience. Some of the visitors stayed on a few days for some tourism and were happy for it. The last visitor departed on October 28th.

DEMOCRATS ABROAD GUATEMALA MISSION STATEMENT

Our Mission is to inform and to encourage every US Citizen in Guatemala to register to vote. The 2009 Move Act now requires overseas voters to register every year there is a federal election. We urge overseas citizens to treat voter registration like filing their taxes and register every year just to be on safe side. We invite US Citizens to join Democrats Abroad. YOUR VOTE COUNTS! We will post articles of interest, host meetings for discussions and provide dates of important milestones as we move toward the 2014 mid-term elections, and we will help you register to vote and help you with your ballots when it comes time to vote. We encourage all US Citizens in Guatemala to check our blog and our calendar for important updates.
